Nintendo won E3 2011 as far as I'm concerned. I've mentioned it on podcasts, to other editors and in our E3 roundtable video. The company brought a stellar set of announcements to the big show, and its first showing of Wii U proved there's plenty of potential in the new system. In many respects it was the Big N's best show ever.
But that doesn't mean I don't have questions. It's possible to have a great press conference and show, but not answer all of the outstanding issues. In fact, in some ways, I have more concerns than ever, and some of the things Nintendo didn't address spoke louder than the things it did.
Over the next few days, I'm going to break down the questions that remain for Nintendo's two primary platforms – the 3DS and Wii – as well as its upcoming system, Wii U. As much as I thought E3 2011 was a killer show for the company I cover day in and day out, some things just need answering. Here's hoping Nintendo starts giving us all the information we want.
